LED Lenser flashlights and LED Lenser headlamps for that matter are not your everyday flashlights and headlamps. These are high-quality LED products manufactured by one of the leading companies in the portable light industry and designed with durability, functionality and beauty in mind. These hand-held flashlights use state-of-the-art engineering and a variety of patent pending reflector systems to create the brightest, most energy-efficient LED lights available. Incredibly compact, LED Lenser lights provide up to 200 hours of light from one set of batteries and up to 100,000 hours of light from the LED light chip. With their sleek, metal casings and only the highest quality LEDs these revolutionary LED lights are the new benchmark in the hand-held light industry.
Indeed, Lenser flashlights and headlamps are investments in portable lighting technology that every home, school and office should make for their everyday uses, emergencies and even defense!
How LED Lights Work
Both flashlights and headtorches from Lenser are obviously based on LED technology. Basically, an LED consists of two types of semiconductors that have varying abilities in the conduction of electricity:
• N-type semiconductors have an abundance of electrons
• P-type semiconductors provide more room for electrons to pass through its holes
When an electrical current is applied to the diode, the electrons travel from the N-type semiconductor to the P-type semiconductor. The energy released from the electron transfer - or from the electrons falling through the holes in the P-type semiconductor - is known as a photon, a particle of light. The continuous movement of electrons causes the LED Lenser flashlights and LED Lenser headtorches to emit light for their users.
The LED flashlights and headlamps from LED Lenser are considered among the best products in the industry for good reasons. These portable lighting products provide for the following benefits:
LED lights last for up to 1,000 times longer than conventional incandescent lights used on non-LED flashlights and headtorches. An average Lenser flashlight can last up to 50,000 hours, thus, proving its longevity.
